    Great sit-flap action! Exposure looks good. Sharpness isn't quite there anywhere on the bird and the head is looking really crunchy, particularly the black cap. Muted light like this is
    great for shooting high contrast birds like this.

    Not your usual quality Will, head looks off colored, wings noisy, not sharp... Blacks look either washed head cap, or blocked, tail...

    I agree that the image is falling short of your usual IQ. I like the HA, wave and composition.

    Nice wing flap. You caught him on the perfect spot in the water. Splashing water is nice.

    I like the pose and the IQ does not look bad to me. What bugs me are the specular highlights on the breast.

    I agree, the head is a bit crunchy, otherwise a cool pose
