Yesterday I was hoping to capture some images of either the male or female Northern Harriers in the tall grasses locally. This is one of many captured images. C&C welcome.

    D500, Nikon 500mm f4/G + 1.4TC, 1/2000s, f 5.6, ISO 2000, Gitzo, Wimberley Gimbal head.

Very cool pose. I can see why you like this. The background looks looks pretty funky. Still nice to see the underside view.

Wicked pose and nice habitat. Unfortunately it looks like something went wrong during resizing or uploading, the image is strongly pixelated. Can you repost?

It must be a huge crop or something is wrong.

The pose is great. Head seems very soft. The rest of the image quality is very bad. Not sure what you are seeing but the background still looks really bad, the image is badly under exposed as well. As Dan mentioned the background is very pixelated and splotchy. If that is not from a bad conversion or something then despite the super cool pose this is a delete.

John, I should have followed your lead on the "funky" background comment backed up by everyone concurring that something is going on with the IQ. Dan, not a huge crop. It's about 75% of original. Thanks everyones input and will address the IQ issue.

Image quality, as noted. The underside view is really nice but without eye contact the image lacks punch. He's also too low in the frame and doesn't have enough space into which to fly and look.
