    BTW the image has been leveled it might look tilted but that's due to the grebe's approach angle

    Lovely capture! I really like the blue and green pattern on the water, which is also quite uniform across the image. Great light and well controlled by the exposure. Very good details, low angle and eye contact. For me the comp is a bit tight with the head to far to the left but I understand that this was your preference for this shot. I'm also attempted to remove the orange dot under the blue wave on the bottom left

    The low angle is nice. Really like the green in the water. This is a chick right? Nice to see something different.

    Looks great, especially for 1200mm. He's a bit cramped at the front, but that's kinda how it goes with these low-rider birds. The water reflection/ripple under the bird's chin is a bit distracting (not your fault!), but everything else looks spot on!
