    Oct. 17 to 31
Assignment: We will be focusing on reflections. Reflections found in nature, such as a reflection off a glass building, reflection from a wet patch on the ground, the reflection from a sunrise or a sunset or even reflections from the eyes of Mother Nature's creatures. Let your creativity come out and see what we can come up with. This will be a fun exercise, and will help open our eyes and look at the world from a different perspective… :)

    Nov. 1 to 15
Assignment: The holidays are right around the corner, and in order to pay tribute to these festive and fun times, we will compose and render holiday colors. This could be the beautiful fall colors of Mother Nature and her creatures, or the mood and feel thats present in the country and urban areas. Lets capture the essence of this cheerful time and see what we come up with... :)

    Nov. 16 to 30
Assignment: Treasures from the past. Lets dig in to our treasure chest of memories from the past, captured on film or digital to share with our brothers and sisters at BPN. Moments captured in time that you cherish, a deer in the woods, your first birds, an old farm, reflections from a building or from a puddle of water on the floor, Mother Natures vast array of creatures, flora, or her vast majestic expanse of mountains in her beautiful landscapes. This will be a fun learning experience to see how over the years we constantly strive to improve our photography skills. It will be fun, in sharing our individual works of art and precious moments and memories from the past...:)

Patty, most actions can only be used on the full version of Photoshop. There are some out there specifically made for Elements but not a lot.

Actions are a term used for a group of Photoshop steps all bundled together to run at one time to achieve a specific look to an image. If you go to www.atn.com you will find a ton of actions, some for Photoshop Elements, and they are all free. Download them from the web, save them and import them into your Photoshop program and then run one...you'll see what we're talking about.

There's no magic here...if it's in an action it can be done without an action...it's just that doing all the steps can take a lot of time and this does it with one easy click. It's kind of like running a macro in Microsoft Word (if that helps at all.)

Julie, are you sure the url is www.atn.com and not www.atncentral.com or some other url? I am unable to open atn.com.

    Cheers, Jay
