    Captured this image at Barnegat Light the other day. Quite nice to see the female and male together. I'll post the male shortly. C&C welcome.

    D500, Nikon 500mm f 4/G + 1.4 TC, 1/200s, f 6.3, ISO 1000, Gitzo, Wimberley Gimbal head.

    Nice and sharp on the face and the wavelets do not dominate. I would not mind a bit more detail in the white patch and a bit more room below.

    I have been there twice this year but have not seen a Greater Scaup there yet. Looks pretty good but I think the head needs some more sharpening. Agree with Artie re more details in the white patch. Those birds are a nightmare to expose for.

    Round head and large bill nail make this a Greater Scaup for sure! Nice engaging look. I agree the whites are bit hot. Shooting angle is OK. I know getting low at that site is hard though.
