Another form the Dominican Republic. Lots of those over there...all wild and free, but as tame as mallards in city parks, which meant fun times creating close-up portraits such as this.

Beautiful Dan...The detail in chest and head is really good. The red against the white brings some punch to the image. Lovely HA and BG...I may take a little from the top

What a beautiful Duck....I think maybe just a tad off the top and I might clean up the eye a bit.

This is fantastic Daniel. I've seen this bird through Central and South America but never photographed it. Details and sharpness are perfect, and the red on the beak really pops! Good low light result

This is really really nice Dan! Agree with Arash, that dark background is perfect with White-cheeked Pintail.

This one is perfectly luscious. The duck and the colors are spectacular and so is the image.

Nicely captured, Daniel. These are beautiful birds to see in person, and your capture with the dark background is great.

No nits from me! Whites are perfect, background is perfect, and there isn't a spot on that bird that lacks in detail. Do the spotted pintails have the same "pin tails" as the northern ones up here?

Hey Jake, these guys' tails are about the same length as the female Northern Pintails'. They do not have the really long central feather.
