In Kopje country, one of a leopard's favourite prey items is a klipspringer, here both eye one another off.

As the light levels drop, it will be the leopard who will ultimately have the upper hand.

Hi Marc -- An usual frame but well executed. A nice story telling image with the leopard , though, being oof, is still a very strong part of the image. Something I will try and get inspired from when out on the field . The Sky is also adding to the scene.

Wonder how it will look when converted to BW ?

    Loved it .

    TFS !

    I like this - A LOT!
But others won't, bit of a marmite shot.
Top marks from me, OOTB thinking.

Hi Marc .... top notch IMHO , well, seen and executed .
Just wish for a bit more room between the two ...without knowing the option on the spot .

Excellent Marc well spotted and thought through, unusual, I suspect this could do well in competition.

As said - the story telling out of the box thinking elements to this make it top notch. Fantastic photography

    Hello Marc,

Cool perspective and POV, I like your thinking here And I agree with Basil - great story telling!

I guess you must have taken some shots with the Klippie OOF and focusing on the leopard... Not sure they'll have the same impact, but if you did, please let us see one?

Nice composition and colours ( gorgeous sky BTW) and I am happy with the positioning of the animals within the frame (... so near...yet so far from each other).
Really enjoyed this, something very different from what we see every day, congrats Marc

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

I did indeed Gabriela take various shots of both Leopard and Klipspringer in and out of focus and whilst the cat was quite nice in focus the OOF Klipspringer merely rendered down to an inconspicous blob, with little impact.

I am sure you did, Marc - I would have done the same This works for me as presented, was just curious what it would look like the other way around. With the leopard turned away I guess it's best if the focus is on his potential victim. An interesting sighting and image which gave me lots to think about - thank you for sharing!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
