Default Elephants in Golden Land !

Hello everyone. Thank you for all your comments and suggestions to my previous post , as always much appreciated.

My first contribution to this months theme. An elephant image which I made at Corbett national park back in April 2018. This is place has some amazing topography and fantastic lighting at different times of day.

This herd of Elephants was having a drink at the lake and then the mud bath, and then they left for their journey somewhere in the woods.

I liked the warm light and tweaked the WB in camera while capturing this image. Also the shimmering water and huge mountains in the backdrop adds to the scene IMO.

DPP 4.8, PSCC 2019 v 20, WB, Levels, curves, Vibrance, cropped from the top, Photologo.

    Canon 1DX MK II, canon 200-400mm f4 @ 560mm, Bean Bag.

    ss 1/2500, f/8, iso 320.

Looking forward to all your comments and suggestions.

    Haseeb.

Very nice small in the frame animalscape Haseeb, I wish you had some separation between the eles, and you have a degree of vignetting either side of the frame that requires addressing, perhaps lens corrections are off?

It also needs a small CW rotation and feel more tonal depth could be extracted with the tree/layer lined mountain range.

The concept is good here. Wish there was more room between the elephants. The water looks like diamonds.

    Dear Haseeb,

Beautiful colours and composition here, well seen and captured. Water does look like diamonds!

If you have it, you might consider allowing a little more at the bottom of the frame. Feels like it needs a bit of CW rotation too.

Nice thinking Haseeb, I enjoyed this

    Kind regards,

Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions . I do have a frame with elephants separated from each other but I liked this one better. Will look into the vignette issue .

    thanks and much appreciated.

    Hi Haseeb,

more tonal depth could be extracted with the tree/layer lined mountain range.
Agree with Marc, it will add more depth and create a nice layering to the image, do it as three different layers.

At f/8 I think it's wasted, f/5.6 would have been fine.
