Much searching eventually yeilded a couple horned grebe nests in Churchill, Manitoba on my trip last week. This guy not only was displaying for his lady, but the wind came from behind and really emphasized his "horns".
Hey Matthew, great to see your work again :)
Lovely light and pose, those feathers are to die for and the OOF water in the FG really works great.
Shame on the two tone BG intersecting the head.
Good looking bird!! Are they starting to nest now?
Stunning image Matthew Wind from the back and really sweet light !!! About the only thing I would wish for is having the two tone line above or below the head !!! Big Time Congrats !!!
Hi Matthew,
These guys definitely have one of the nicest eyes in the bird kingdom. Agree with the others on the line...........but still one sweet image.
Pretty darned spectacular. Higher or lower would have been a bit better. How are you liking the 40D? Any Hudsonian Godwits or Ross's Gulls?
