Just keeping things simple, a hyena pup just outside the den towards late afternoon.

Very subtle touches in your RP but they do make a difference

Love the gentle light here. Subject well positioned within the frame. Overall this is well exposed, colours look natural and some lovely detail on the cub's face. I like the way he is bundled there, so nice and cosy - was this close to the den?

This is one of very few images I have seen from you at 1/320... I must admit it's sharp where it matters Also, your processing is superb, Steve.
I enjoyed viewing, very much - this is one of my favourite subjects to photograph. Glad you had the opportunity to spend some time with the "Spotties" too

Cheers John, the second should have been the OP, just had inadvertently turned off two layers.

This is one of very few images I have seen from you at 1/320...

I'm toggling now between things Gabriela, the issue is at low SS you must be incredibly steady and where I can, I tend to get the body wedged into a position and just control the breathing, a bit like shooting.

It's all about knowing what 'Not to use' rather than 'what to use', something that often goes over folks heads when you try to explain about PP.

I understand what you mean by knowing what "not to use". But I still don't have that perfect image

Yes the RP is slightly better Steve, but ss is quite low , still you have nailed this one. Excellent details and lovely spotlight effect. very nicely done.

Hi Steve ... RP is way better , albeit subtle changes has taken place . I would have excluded the dark area in LRC from the tonal changes .

The rest is good as expected from the technical POV .... well done Maestro .
