Another shorebird shot from Foster city, CA. This location is great for getting flight shots of shore birds when the tide and the light are right

    Nikon D850, 500PF + 1.4X TCE-III. ISO 1000 f/8 at 1/3200 sec hand held. processed with C1P 12

    hope you like it

    And was this 500mm @f5.6 or 700mm @f8. It can't be f5.6 with the TC on .

    Lovely flight shot.
Perfect wing position and I like the blue of the water.
I like the fantastic view of the feet and that little water droplet on the toe.
If I was to be super picky, I would clone out the specular highlights on the legs.
    Well done,
    Gail

Superb with a perfect downstroke wing position. Losing or toning down the specular highlights on the bill and the legs is an option.

Fantastic detail, just ridiculous what the D850 can do in the right hands and in the right light.

Spectacular posture in perfect light! DOF is impressive. Love the little droplet on the toes :-)
