This egret was flying in to the nest on a spit of land off the Texas Coast, taken from a boat. Great breeding colored lores! Sadly, this favorite area of mine was demolished by a hurricane and is no more... This is no crop full frame, HH, (smile!) removed a few dust spots, DE, sharpened, NR

Fantastic breeding colours on this beautiful individual, Awesome wingspread. The one curled primary is neat! I only wish the far line of oof trees was lower and not touching the neck.

Looks great Ann. I love your shots. Always beautiful and graceful as well. Despite having seen thousands of these birds I do not have a shot of them that I think is killer. Maybe you could add a touch of warmth to show that warm Texas sun but as is this one this one would make me very happy

Lovely shot with well done whites. The only problem with the dark strip in the BG is the lump (building?) on the lhs. Clne some of it down a bit or crop it out?

Your flight shots are spot on. Great pose with a great background. Very nice details as well.

Thanks Colin, it is not a building but rather bushy vegetation. Sure, I agree with you, it would look a bit better if it wasn't there!
