Sweet detail and light. If you have the pixels, I see a strong vertical.

Hi Jon, very pleasing colors and i like the pose. I'd consider more perch if you have it or vertical. Nice details and light.

I agree vertical would have been better but I didn't want to hammer the pixels hence landscape. Wish I 'd had the presence of mind at the time!!

The light is nice and i like the pose and colors on this bird. The bird is dead center in the frame. Im sure you know this.

Lovely light, posture, head-angle and great sharpness. I would consider a vertical frame?

Thanks everyone, you are not keen on the presentation so here is the portrait version - do you think the quality holds up?

The IQ held up not too bad, but the image has a blue cast compared to the OP

You are right Will, I wondered if the first was slightly yellow, maybe it was the afternoon light.

Hi Jon, the OP I prefer, just loose some off the RHS to take the capture off centre. The OP has a far better colour range and I think you just need to drop in the yellow which would help, as per your reply. But in what area, WB, HSL, Vib? The RP is poor in relation to colour, and certainly doesn't reflect the OP, how can that happen from a 'master file' as it's a simple change of cropping nothing more? Cracking detail, well processed.

On the original, the bird is sharp with a good EXP but too centered and the perch is a busybody ...
