    Taken on a day when ice covered the lake.
    Canon 5D Mk 4. Canon 100-400 L Mk 2. Hand held.

    1/500. F 8. ISO 320. Processed in ACR and PS6.

    I was just talking yesterday about how pretty Mallards are and how under appreciated they are because they are so common. I like the walking pose and great that it is on the ice. I would take off a bit off of the bottom and add it to the top.

    Hi David, good low shooting angle, and you have captured a good HA too. I agree, these guys are very colourful, and you have brought out the green sheen on the head nicely. I would leave the bottom, but add to the top.

    Well done David, Your doing well with the ice...I like when the loch freezes, you get lots of different poses to work with...Nice detail here, HA and POV...The raised leg adds.
