    I made this image at Bear River Migratory Refuge, UT Last year

    I choose to place the subject in the middle with square crop.

    Nikon D500, 500 f/4 + 1.4x TCIII
    1/2000 sec; f/5.6; ISO 800
    Manual; Matrix metering

    Post processing:-
    Raw Processing using C1P
    Noise Reduction using Neat Image
    Cropping, Colors Adjustment using Photoshop CS6

    Like the direct stare and those red eyes. This would make a nice vertical.

    Pretty unique perspective on here. And amazing that you were so close as well. The times that I have seen this species they were quite wary. The white balance does not look right to me. Everything has a yellow cast

    This was the first time ( and only time ) when they were really close to me. I had too much lens.

    Thank you Isaac. I totally missed the white balance part. This was photographed on a cloudy day, so I forgot to adjust the white balance in post.

    Here is a repost, reducing the Yellows using selective color.

    Looking at both images I do like the first image as I clearly remember water colors close to first post. May be some where in the middle the two might be the best way to go.
