The low angle is nice and i like the pose here. Pretty neat looking bird.

Dan please list which camera you use. That info helps.

I very much like the proud pose and the details in the parts that are in focus. But for me the bird is much too tight in the frame. And I would likely clone out the seed it is eating.

    Isaac,
    Thanks for your critique.
It was taken with a Nikon D610 although I am not sure what camera make has to do with criticism....
I understand all other technical info but really?????
As for the tightness, that is sort of the point...
As for the seed, you never saw the movie...
    Thanks.

Camera and lens make a huge difference to critique. What 600mm do you use? Everyone lists what they use and their settings. And I am a big De Niro fan but I would still lose the seed.

The seed, in conjunction with the title, adds a humorous touch and in that context it works. Otherwise, as a standalone image, I'd lose it as well. I agree the subject is rather large in the frame. The low angle is great, and so are the details and colours.

I am with Isaac. Much too tight and lose the seed. And I would do some clean-up as well. The detail on the blue breast is fabulous.

    with love, arite
