A lone black rhinoceros strolling across a famous open plain at sunset.

Happy 2019 to all my BPN friends! Here's to a great year and great sightings in great light to all of you...

    Nikon D3s
    Nikkor 400mm f2.8 VR

NOTE: colours are true to the place, given the hazy sunset and dry season foliage

Small in the frame works well. Shows how big and desolate the area is.

Like the small-in-the-frame image design, works well here to give a sense of place. He looks thin...

Typical Morkel Image, loved the colour palette and the minimalistic feel to the scene . It has that mood captured in it . What a feel here . Loved the faming , superbly done .

    TFS !

Hi Morkel ....yeah Etosha ....realistic colors, as far as i can say from my memory .
I do like the concept of the image and the overall presentation , well done Morkel .
Just wish the LRC would be cleaner ....for a perfect FG , but just a minor thing .
Not long to go ....i will be there .... starting on 13th of april

Sorry Morkel, it is well processed etc but the small in the frame doesn't float my boat on this occasion, I would have much preferred to see it larger in the frame.

Hi Morkel - The dusky colors work for this animalscape. With him angled and walking toward you I feel like I want a bit more room in the fg but I can probably be convinced otherwise.

    Hello Morkel,

Thank you for sharing, I like this solitary rhino and its positioning within the frame, lovely sunset colours. Would be interesting to see a B/W version as well, if you have the time

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Classic Etosha colours and solitary Rhino just enhances further mate, well done.
