This is my first ever sighting of a juvenile White-bellied sea eagle...taken recently at a local wader roost. Not the best HA, but a lifer is a lifer! Cheers.

Underwing is absolutely wonderful but lacks fine detail. The head looking away from us makes it difficult to connect with the subject, unfortunately. Congrats on the lifer regardless! Birding + photography is the best!

Hi Dorian. Thanks. I tried doing something different with the post processing. As the bird was not that close I tied enlarging the image 10% each time for 3 times (read that this method is better than enlarging say 30% in one go)...seemed to be ok with no loss of image quality. However, I agree with the lack of fine detail and the HA. Always next time! Cheers.

The pose and the light looks nice all you need was that head turn as noted. Still sounds like a great experience to have.

Agree with comments about a lack of detail, but I like the pose - even the head angle is fine for me as it looks like it is focussed on its mission.

Artie: I called out loudly to the bird to face me, but he was too far away to hear me...
