    Default Bullet?

    Attached Images Attached Images

meadow lark in flight. I usually go for wings up or down but I kind of liked this one since it looks like a bullet. A bit challenging to swing the big six with these speeders, I am hoping to get more song birds in flight with 500PF, hopefully will get to try it soon

Shot with D850 and 600E FL + 1.4X III. ISO 1250 f/5.6 at 1/3200 sec hand held. Processed with Capture One Pro 12. BTW depending on your monitor you may see some posterization in the BG, not much I can do about it....

Pretty amazing! So freakin' sharp! It does indeed look like a bullet.

Certainly gives the impression of a bullet. It's about as sharp as it's possible to get.Superb capture of this fast moving bird.

These are really tough birds to catch in flight. I'm not crazy about the flight pose, but the sharpness is amazing.

Yeah, I too prefer up or down, but I suppose for a bird like a meadowlark this will be more than OK. Nice BG and sharpness.

Terrific shot, and a good change from stereotypical BIF shots with superb technicals.

Like how the feet are tucked in and the stream lined bird as well.

A really unusual shot and becasue it is so well focused with good DOF it works very well indeed. (No problem regarding the background).

This is awesome. I would have kept this shot as well. It's fun. Tack sharp and perfectly lit.

Great skill involved in capturing songbirds in flight, well done. Lovely background, light and comp. I like the pose even if the bird becomes a bit small in frame without the wings up or down.

Pretty awesome. Rarely see these type of birds in flight. The bullet pose is pretty cool. And great details and BG as well. TFS

No issues whatsoever for me with the bullet pose, I think its fantastic. I get people prefer the dynamic wing position but this frame is so typical of a bouncing songbird flight
