    Pied oystercatcher foraging on the incoming tide at the top end of Cairns Esplanade. Late afternoon, no golden light on offer in the wet season.

    Hi Greg. Greetings from Brissy. A very nice image. I like the composition, clarity, BG and feather detail. If it were mine I'd clone out the very small white dot about half way up, but that's just me being picky.

    I like the image.

    I will open up the shadows a little. The Dark spot in the right side of the frame is distracting me. I could clone it out.

    I feel you, I had my first sunny day in 20 today! Raised red leg is nice, but the head angled away from us makes it hard for subject and viewer to connect.
    Lots of open space at the op of the frame, so I'd either crop tighter or move the bird up.

    Thanks all for the comments, I agree with all. Like the raised foot, head angle could be better. I don't often care if my nature is dirty, but after you point out the dark and light spots I see them prominently...
