    Hi all,

A woodpecker taken at a feeder set up a month or two ago. NR on the background. I didn't expect a WP to land on this perch but I thought it was cool.

    Camera: Nikon D500
    Lens: 200-500mm at 500mm
    Specs: 1/640 f/6.3 ISO 2,500

Thanks for looking and commenting on prior posts!

Bird is fine. Would cropping the perch to just below the tail work? Also some cloning out of the section of perch on the left side?

Pretty neat. Never have seen a woodpecker perch like this before. The background is killer.

Hope you don't mind, but I had a go at some cloning and cropping. Thoughts?

Yea, the perch is tough since it overpowers the bird. Bummer because the BG and pose are really nice!

Cheers all, much appreciated. No worries, I saw the 'gangly' perch and figured I would give it a go. It's a set up so I can get more cracks at these birds. Thanks Paul for the repost, it definitely cleans it up a bit. Best,
