Captured this image a couple of days ago in the same local grassland as before. The Grey Ghost has just hunted down and captured a Vole (in talon) while they were both flying together. She now is very interested in getting the Vole for herself. C&C welcome.

Pretty cool interaction between these two and perfect for the monthly theme. Nice and sharp but unfortunately the 2 have passed us by. Wish you had the shot a split second before this one. Also there is something odd looking in the grass about half way between the male and the edge of the frame and just below the lower wing tip. Kind of triangular shape.

Very nice comparison - particularly on the underwings - but I agree with Issac that this is a split second to late. Male's yellow eye really pops though!

Nice to see the male and female in the same frame. Nice to see the males eye. You should have entered this for the theme.

Nice one. I like having both and the prey item adds a lot to the story. Yes, as mentioned a moment earlier would have been great. TFS

It must have been a magic moment Geoffrey to capture the two harriers together. All nits been covered, but very well done.

Thanks everyone. It was pretty thrilling seeing these two flying together. The frames before this one were of them turning/twisting above this level and going away from camera, then a quick drop and bank for this capture.
