Very good John, the colours and detail are fine, I like the composition, a minor consideration would be to eliminate the double catchlight and have one instead of two. The rippled water could perhaps have been developed a little for added interest.

Well done. The bird, which is in breeding plumage -- note the orange not pink base of the bill, is a bit over-crunched ... The only way to improve the capture would have been to get down on the ground. Were you standing or sitting for this one?
