    I see bird photographers pass these birds by every time I go to Circle B Bar Reserve. I guess it is because they seem so common there. To me quite a beautiful bird. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED image captured at 400mm
    1/2000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV 0 ISO 280 Auto 1 WB, camera supported by a monopod
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic CC, Photoshop CC 2019 and Neat Image for noise reduction, removed a couple specular highlights on the bill and the bill in the reflection

    Nice view of this bird on the water. Like the reflection. Maybe little tight on the left.

    I agree with you Joe, these birds are unfortunately for most in the "pass by group" . Not for me though, I agree they are quite a beautiful bird. I like the reflection but for me the placement of the bird is too high in the frame, which means if it were lower the reflection would not be in its entirety... My preference only...

    Nice capture with good details in the darks. I would take some off the bottom, but just below the reflection. Well done

    Hi Joe,
    I like these birds and am always happy to take their pic.
    I love the details in the blacks and the reflection.
    I would take a bit off the bottom and add a bit to the LHS as the virtual foot is a bit close to the edge.
