Looking down on a giant clam, the largest bi-valve mollusks. I wouldn't be surprised if you can identify individuals with their color patterns, the ones I see are all distinct. Low Ilses, last month. This one was probably 'intermediate", a bit less than 1m in length.

Hi Greg oh an underwater image ....!!!
Thanks for posting this , i do love UW images .
These clams can get huge ...
Looks good from the aesthetic POV , the clam surrounded by some stony corals , giving a nice color contrast . sadly the the small Demoiselle got lost in the frame ....
I am surprised to see relatively flat image .... needs a lot of boosting , in both tone and color to make this work for me.
Taken with a underwater housing ? A bit technical info would be great ..... not only the image is interesting for most of us . Some of us are gear nerds as well .... LOL.

What an awesome image Greg! I like the colours and composition, agree a bit more punch is needed. Nice shot.

Andreas, you are right, it was taken with an underwater housing.

Wow that's impressive, just under a mater sound pretty big. I haven't seen one so I cant't comment on the colours bit I do like the composition and the sharp focus you achieve.

Hi Greg, a lovely image , loved the colours and framing . I think it needs a bit more punch , looks a bit flat to me. Loved the image .

Very cool image. TFS. I have never done underwater photography so for me to comment on PP or techniques would make no sense. I like it. Maybe like Andreas says it could POP more. Nice Greg!

Thanks all for the comments. I did try more tonality/contrast/clarity, but I felt this was realistic for this particular clam. They are all different...
