Another early morning Red Grouse image from my usual haunt in the Highlands of Perthshire. Rarely you see the foot on a Red Grouse as they are mostly hidden by the heather where they always hang out. I managed to capture this one as it was walking through the heather and when his foot was raised I took the shot. Processed with PS 2019.

Very nice. Love how the colors match the bird through out the frame. The raised foot is a bonus as well.

I like the raised foot and the red eyebrow. Nice Image design.

The out of focus foliage in the foreground does not bother me.

Very nice. I like the color scheme and the raised foot is great. Cool how light their feet are compared to their bodies. TFS

Another stunner of this beautiful Grouse. Love the pose and the raised foot. The red grass and the background are fantastic as well.

One of your best Grouse shots William!!
It's all about the light and the angle of it and by the look of the catch in the eye, you were lined up almost perfect. Nice foreground and Bg.
    Well done

Hi Will, love the 'proud' pose with a sweet HA too. You seem to nail the detail and colours on these guys all the time. There is nothing you can do if the subjects are always in foliage, but well timed to get the raised foot. Killer BG.

Looks like you are enjoying the 5D MK 4.

Another winner. You might consider losing the tallest stalk on the left side, the one that protrudes above the rest.
