    Lucky to get this close and for the bird to pose for me.

    Canon 5D Mk4. Canon 100-400 L Mk2 Handheld.
    1/1250 F8 ISO 5000. Processed in PS6

    No bait or other means of attracting the bird were used.

    You captured a nice pose here David, and it is good that you got nice detail in the whites and blacks. I think you need to add a few points of black to the feathers as they look a little washed out, I also see a blueish cast on the blacks. Love the eye.

    Very Nice Image. I like the Beak.

    Seems like some halos in the beak or selection etc, which needs to be looked at.

    Love the detail on the bill but when even I see the haloes you are in trouble :) Considering that these guys never ever stand still you did well.
