    Hi all,

A common eider in flight taken at the shore. Pretty standard edits for me, some extra NR on the background.

    Camera: Nikon D500
    Lens: 300 PF + 1.4 TC III
    Specs: 1/2500 f/5.6 ISO 1,000.

Thanks for looking and commenting on prior posts!

nice light, pose and wing stretch Alex. I like the small water drops too. sharp. In an ideal world the water would be smooth and less choppy

Nice Light on the Subject. Water droplets does not add too much for me. I would have closed then.

Cleaner water would have been nice.

Hi Alex, great close up, and I like the swept back wings. Sharp where it counts, and the droplets add. I quite like the choppy water.

Classic Barnegat (I am assuming) shot. This year has been great for them. Like the flight pose and the nice head angle. Almost impossible to get call water in that inlet.

Wonderful capture, Alex. Nice wing position, and like the water droplets. Like the choppy ocean as well.

Great shot, Alex. Perfect wing position, nice and sharp, good light. I like it all - water, drops and bird. Makes me think it's time for a trip to the jetty.

Thanks Artie, I've only ever seen them from far away so to get one close in flight was great. Yep, this was taken at Barnegat. Best,
