    Default Domestic Duck

I made this image in Local pond in Cortex on my way to Bosque.

I was initially set up to photograph American Wigeons but they were not close enough. While I was waiting for them I made this image.

The Blue color in the background is shadows of the Trees.

    Nikon D500 500f/4 1.4x TCIII
    1/3200 sec; f/5.6; ISO 1250
    Manual; Matrix metering

    Hope you like it.

Let me know your thoughts and comments.

If anyone knows the name of the species do let me know.

    Post processing:-
    Raw - C1P
Cloned Back shadow in the Bottom left corner.
    Noise Reduction Neat Image
    Reduced Blues using selective color

    Thanks

    Unusual looking duck.
Nice comp and I like the blues contrasting with the whites.
I also like the little bit of iridescence on the wing.
    Whites look good,
    Gail

Neat looking duck. I would have though the background was the sky or water. Still pretty cool colors.

I think f/6.3 would be better here, which would have given you more detail, and you had plenty SS. I like the colours throughout the image. No idea of the species.

it's a good image but the subject is ugly, Artie calls this a soup duck not a photo duck

Nice image of this domestic duck. Love the colors and the details. I would add a bit of room above the bird as it is a touch cramped.
