I am fortunate that I live close ( 30 min drive ) to a nature reserve, and although there are only Cheetah's from the cat family ( never seen them yet ) and Rhino and Buffalo, there is an abundance of plenty of other subjects to photograph in early morning light. On some mornings, my main mission is to try and hopefully find Egrets catching a ride on the Zebra's. I was lucky here, and having them fairly close by, helped as well. The Egrets feed off the Zebra's parasites and ticks, so they are mostly always together, but not guaranteed in Taxi mode. As it was early morning, I have reduced a bit of the warm light from the Egret. Although the head looks 'grey' compared to the rest of the body, it was as captured. No whites over exposed

Happy New Year to you and Colleen!
I love the BG colors in this image of a freeloading egret! Is this Uber or Lyft?
Whites look awesome and IQ is tops.
The crop is perfect- shows just enough zebra,

This looks fantastic Stu!! Love the bold colors the early morning gave you and that band of green/yellow really makes this image pop! Exposure looks great as do the details and your comp choice is perfect. Well done Buddy and Happy New Year!

Beautiful Shot. I like the composition a lot.

I may think about excluding the trees at lower right.

    Nice Light...

    Thanks for sharing..

Great title. The perch is unique and the light looks pretty sweet. The background is great.

Really like this. Technically great, but the perch provides such good context.

Thanks Krishna. those 'trees' you mentioned is actually the mane of the Zebra.

Thanks to everyone else for your feedback.

Excellent Bud, don't tell me, you shot this whilst out with Axel & Banjo .

Great detail and well exposed on the whites. The colour pops well and make for a vibrant & rich image.
