Out flamingos are active in Yucatan, some are extremely colorful. Make our "cold" winter very pleasant to see them gathering in large numbers.

    Happy new year Lorant!
    What a loooooo....ng neck!!
Nice BG and good to see the bird did not fully intersect with the shoreline.I would have loved for him to be against the green BG entirely.
I also like the little bit of a head turn our way and the way the feet are separated.
The IQ seems to be a bit off ie. details a bit crunchy. Is this a big crop?
This guy seems to be orangy with pink legs. is this a young bird?

Hello Gail. Thanks for commenting. I agree, it would have been ideal to have the bird on the green BG. It is a crop, but the IQ isn't bad of the original. I guess the jpeg compression lowered it, as the original 1900pixs image was way over the size limit here. I only sharpened the head and I used some NR on the whole image.
I think it is a young bird.

Like seeing the bird stretched out like this. It looks so long. Light sure was sweet.

Hi Lorant, these guys are graceful flyers, so well captured in flight. Great view of the far wing, and he does pop from the BG.
