    Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/400s., f/5.6, ISO 1600, natural light, handheld, small crop to help the comp, darkened the pupil, toned down some of the snow.

    Perfect winter theme shot Daniel. Would you believe that I still do not have a proper Cardinal photo. I literally have 6 of them in my yard all year long. They nest in my yard as well. I see them everywhere but want a shot like this that to date has been elusive. Happy New Year!

    Great cardinal frame. Love the snow and the pose. The vertical composition works very well.

    Enjoyed your top 10.
    I love the bird and the wintery feel. Like Isaac, I have yet to get a really good image of a cardinal in snow.
    I love the IQ on the bird and the HA and the BG.
    I am not sure about the large mound of snow in front of the bird. It pulls my eye down and away from the bird,
