    Hi Guys.

Happy new year.. Another image from a small river that flows (just...) during the summer months here in the south west of Australia . Taken with my Mamiya RZ67 and a very old digital back (H20) tethered to my laptop.. This is a two image stitch processed mainly in Capture 1 and images stitched in CS6.. Would give you the camera settings and lens type etc if I had them but camera does not store that sort of stuff.. (too old.. like me...)

Some how the colors seems to be a bit off. May be because I have not experience this scene my self.

How does this look in Black and White ?

Don, thank you for reviewing my image of horseshoe bend. With respect to your image, we have many streams similar to this one in the SW USA with the algae and moss covering the rocks as the stream is near drying up. You have done a good job capturing the full dynamic range the image without blowing out the highlights. The color is good. The sharpness and detail are good. Good overall capture of the subject at hand. I have often seen streams similar to this that will have strings of moss/algae flowing in the current. If this is the case, you may want to raise your camera angle 15 to 20 feet higher to capture the strings in the current.

Thanks for commenting Krishna.. I don't think the colour is too far off but the camera I used requires you set WB, ie it does not calculate its own. It's easy to get it wrong in post and I must remember to take a colour reference card with me in future to ensure I can get it right.. Not processed as B&W variant but will have a look..

    regards

Hi Terry.. Thanks for reviewing my 'less than grand' scene. Bit different to the Horseshoe bend Huh...? and yes you are right, this stream is drying up over the summer. The algae does flow in strings in places, however I was not attempting to capture that in this image.. In hindsite, the image lacks any strong leading lines and its a bit cluttered, but its what was there.. Think I need to find a simpler composition..

    regards.

Hi Don...I do agree with your self critique of lacking leading lines...perhaps during periods of higher water the flowing water will give you the necessary leading lines. I do wish to see a little more above the river. Looking forward to more pics from this scene.
