Same female as yesterday's post. She had finished lunch and was just hanging out.
I was even able to swap in 5D4 for 1DX2 for this frame.

I'm more familiar with processing files from my 5D4 than the just-acquired 1DX2,
so I think the colors on this one came out better (i.e. less yellow) than the shot
    from the other day.

Canon 600m f/4 IS II + 1.4x III on EOS 5D Mark IV
1/3200 at f/7.1, ISO 800, handheld out car window
Processed in LR CC without trickery

    Cheers,
    Dorian

This is really nice Dorian. That stare is intense. Colors a way better than the other one and details are beautiful. Super shot!

    Hey Dorian,

Glad you made it down this year and it was nice to meet your wife too. What a great encounter we had with this beautiful female Merlin! She was really cooperative and landed in a nice spot after being chased off by the Kestrel. I'm not sure how it could get any better than this beautiful frame!!
Hope to see you back in a few months.

Nice. Like the vertical composition here. Nice pose on the bird with another killer background. Sounds like quite the experience.

    Great portrait.
You are making me want to call Dave and head back to his special spot.
Love the BG and IQ on this image. No nits from me.
Tell Dave to get out and scrub the perches clean.I made him do that when I was there last year!!

sweet you got lucky with the perch and the BG, sharp with excellent details if mine I'd reduce the contrast a touch
