    I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED image captured at 400mm
    1/2000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV -2/3 ISO 180 Auto 1 WB, camera supported by a monopod
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic CC, Photoshop CC 2019 and Neat Image for noise reduction, cleaned up a few pieces of vegetation in the background
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    Love the small rings around the raised left foot. However, sharpness is an issue - particularly around the head - and the frame needs to be warmed up a bit. It is too blue/cold as is.

    Beautiful capture, Joe. Love the toe just lifted above water, and all the fine detail. I would remove the second catchlight, and there is a slight white halo in some areas on the edges of the bird. Also think you might want to warm the bird up a tad.

    You can try to warm up the bird a little. Raised foot is really nice.
