    I captured this image in my front yard. The perch is a dead flower stem of a African Iris, the background is the concrete driveway. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED image captured at 400mm
    1/500 F/16 Matrix Metering EV 0 ISO 560 Auto 1 WB HH
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic CC, Photoshop CC 2019 and Neat Image for noise reduction
    Cropped from 2x3 to 16x9 for composition and presentation

    very nice composition. Nice front on perspective. Good leading line from the stem. good detail on wings. Again, like the high key background.

    Hi Joe,
    I like the head on view. Neat perspective. Was this a sizeable crop? Image quality (details) seems a little off on the head and perch.

    Due to the crop the Image quality might be a little off.

    I do like the composition and point of view.

    It's a very nice image Jo I suspect you kept your distance to maximise dof (??). I think image quality is a little low and probably due to the crop, maybe tad smaller in the frame and a 1600px image?
