    Shot last winter at Manglajodi, Odissa, India.


    Nikon D500, 500F4 G ED VR., TC1.4III;
    Exposure Time - 1/1250 seconds, FNumber – 7.1, ISO – 800;

    Nice seeing waterfowl out of the water like this. I only wish the wings were fully back. Happy new year.

    Like the pose on the bird and the light as well. Composition is nice.

    I too wish for the wings to be more open and further back, but I love the low angle, light, grassy habitat. I suppose it was in very shallow water as I can see a faint trace of that between the grass.
