Nice to get back out in the field. And I felt fortunate to get this rare vagrant, who belongs in the Southwest but has been visiting a local county park for the last several weeks. He moves rapidly from perch to perch, and seems to like tangled settings, so I've done some tangle-removal. The perch was his choice, not mine. In the next frame his feet are showing but his head is turned slightly away.

Nice pose with a great background. Bird looks a little bright to me.

Great looking bird. I actually like the perch...nice smooth background. Lighting looks a tad harsh and it's a little blown out to me on the breast area.

Happy to see you out again Bill. Details look good. I agree the breast is a touch bright. Also I am not crazy about the perch as it is too large and overpowers the bird.

Great bird (yes to being a bit bright though) and beauty BG. Good job removing the tangles - I cannot tell where they were. The perch is rather thick, yes, but nicely textures and coloured.

I might reduce the overall exposure a hare but otherwise a very nice image of this guy. Well done and Happy New Years

Thank you all. He perched in a shaft of late afternoon sun, so it is a bit bright. I could try to reduce it a tad. Happy New Year to all!
