This lady was at Pine Crest Gardens today. She was painted with a Nikon D200, using a Nikkor 105mm f/2.8D macro lens.

gus, i love the desert cassia!!!! beautiful flower. i gotta get me one of them macro lens!! i worked on it a bit. hope you dont mind. cropped like al suggested and used a color control point in CNX and selected the white just off the purple on the largest petal and brightened it. ran some NR on the dark areas between the petals.
Hi Gus! Let me make this clear from the start. This is only my opinion, and take it with a grain of salt if you need to. I think it is absolutely necessary that the focal point of the image (I assume it would be where the curves come together at the center of the flower) be in sharp focus. The diffuse focus of the rest of the flower would then accentuate the focal point, and they would then be an asset. Just my opinion.~onlybill
