Another shot from the rutting season, this buck was rounding up his harem. I was quite pleased that the DOF was OK, it was one of those moments I heard a commotion, swung round and got the shot.
Hi Jonathan -- I liked the pano crop and the tones. Low pov always has a nice feel but the FG is a bit distracting element in this case , especially the bunch of grass in front of the male. Nice light , the whites look slight strong but handled nicely IMO. i see some noise in the BKG but the BKG is helping the subjects stand out nicely.
thanks everyone for you comments, I agree with your sentiments but it was a grab shot, the deer emerged about 5 metres from the left of the left doe and ran across so I just grabbed what I could. I was quite pleased with what I got under the circs.
Hi Jon the right female will have headache .... LOL !!!
I think this does look quite good with the stark contrast between the FG and BG , does make the subjects pop !!!
Colors and tones are looking well processed and you handled the contrast well throughout the range.
Overall nicely done ...
