Black Headed gull in winter plumage...This is one from a local loch I managed to capture last month.

Good looking gull, with nice detail, angled toward you. Of course a full-up wing position might have eliminated the shadow, but still a handsome frame as presented.

    Merry Christmas to you, Will.

Nice whites you got here. Good BG. Yes to a higher wing position, and perhaps removing the smaller of the two catchlights in the eye (plus the fainter one at "8 o'clock"). I love the orange bill and feet.

I agree with the above critiques... the bird pops very nicely in the frame.

Hi Will, really in your face shot in this, and overall well exposed on the whites. Sharp where it counts, and I like the hanging orange legs/feet.

Very nice image. Killer background. Agreed on removing the extra eye catch lights.

Very cool. Love the red feet. Agree with prior comments and I think this could also use some NR on the underwings. Great frame, TFS.
