All looks a bit soft and a tad dark to me John.

Hi John good to see your options in the deer section , i am happy for you .
I do like the overall look of the frame with the deer in the sea of dry weeds , very nice to have all the same color range ...well almost .
Difficult to find a decent crop with this sort of portrait , so i will not make any suggestion on framing .
Color / tones are looking quite good to me , but understand what Steve is thinking . A matter of taste .... at times .

    Hello John,

You have been extremely lucky lately, with those White-tail buck sightings - thank you for sharing them with us:)

My thoughts on framing, I would try crop a tad from the bottom. Or maybe add a faint vignette - this is something I don't usually do, but in this case I would like to soften the busy FG.

Colours overall look good. But blacks are a bit strong and give the subject a slightly crunchy appearance (I am now referring to the subject's ears, eyes and nose).

I like the attentive pose and ears pointing forward, what was he looking at? Also been wondering if there are any predators that threaten this species in the Park

Hope you have a wonderful Festive Season, and that we see more from you in the New Year - thank you for your contribution to this Forum, it is much appreciated

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
