Think I would have shot this wide open John, or in PS just 'blurred' the whole environment a little.

    Hello John,

Me thinking Steve is quite right about shooting wide open -it would have shown how well this chap is camouflaged:)

This was a tough one to capture, glad you managed to get this buck in the "clear" but with those grasses moving in front of its face it must have been difficult to focus.

Image well exposed and the framing does work in terms of proportion. Sweet face, like the pose, thank you so much for sharing John!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi John - Nice to show the buck in the midst of all that high grass. Overall the image looks a little red but you were there. Steve and Gabriela -I believe f6.3 is wide open for that lens at 600mm.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Well I suppose 6.3 is as wide open as that lens would go...Personally I would try a tighter crop. TFS John

Hi John ...nice idea to have the buck floating in a sea of weeds ....
Colors looking nice to me ...as do the tones .
But the image is soft ... with no clarity in the details .

    TFS Andreas
