Pretty slow time of year so I spent a couple mornings driving around Clarence Cannon National Wildlife Refuge. Quite a bit of open marshy areas where several
Northern Harriers over winter. An image from my closest encounter. Taken out of the window of my vehicle. A little over a 50% crop. The bird was in the upper
right corner so I added some sky above and in front of the bird.

nice fly by , this is a young female bird. nice details and eye contact. the bird is a bit contrasty and over saturated, so is the sky. I wish the far wing was raised, light was less harsh, a bit tight in the frame for my liking

Always a thrill to get a nice harrier image.
Harrier is nice and sharp with a good head turn.
I agree with Arash that the sky is too blue. I would select the sky and reduce the saturation. It is always a treat when there are some clouds to break up the blue.
Wishing you a Happy Holiday season,

Good sharp flight image, with nice look in your direction. I agree with Arash's comments on all points.

Thanks for the input. Dropped the contrast/saturation on the bird and the saturation of the sky. hopefully this is better..

Sharp with a great pose. repost is better. The single misplaced (???) feather at the base of the primaries bugs me ...

I like the HA, sharpness and repost is an improvement. I have yet to get a close image of this bird. Well done Jack.
