I shot this at my ponds this winter as I have spring fed ponds that stay open all winter with minnows to keep many critters happy
.
The kingfishers have to pose all winter for me as they eat my minnows that I sell to bait-shops so thats the deal if they want free fish.
I make improvements every year around the pond putting in perches and shooting lanes to their natural perch for shooting photographs.
Shot this out of my jeep off my blubb bag as it was single digit that day.
Hi Denis,
I like the composition, its a little tight in frame. Beautifull colors and details. Agree with Fabs on lightening up the face just a tad...
Cool fish and back light. Definitely needs more room in front. Lots of fill flash would have been best to lighten the face... Is this a huge crop? If not, it could stand some sharpening.
