A very simple image, not award winning , but great to see these big old 'Tuskers' content in their own habitat is just great to see and witness.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

The elephant stands out beautifully from the surroundings, the hide on the elephant shows excellent detail with super tones. A really pleasing image to view.

Cheers Jon, very simple, but I just wanted to concentrate on the details as you very kind alluded too.

Indeed a very pleasing image dear Steve. Good proportion in terms of framing and such beautiful, natural colours. Perfect DoF

The leaf the Ellie is munching on adds interest. Love the walking pose, subject stands out so well against the BG. Details are superb, as expectedEnvironment seems quite familiar, is this from your SA trip?

I'll raise you some Ellies soon, off to the wilderness tomorrow after work and back on Tuesday, rain predicted so not sure there'll be any photographic opportunities. But I am packing my gear tonight, just in case:)

Have a wonderful week-end, and thank you so much for sharing,

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

    Hi Steve

Perfect DOF IMHO..Sufficient to provide context but still soft enough to isolate the Elephant. Wonderful details on the Elephant and I like the dynamics provided by the kick of dirt on the right back leg..

    regards

    Don

This is a spectacular frame Steve, I just loved the low POV and the tones. What good IQ ! superbly done. A simple frame but magnificently captured.

    TFS !
