I like this image, the conditions look quite challenging. I think it would benefit from some NR and perhaps a little gentler on the sharpening and possibly tone down the brightness of the background.
(I don't know if you use Neat Image John - if you don't I can recommend it. I have made templates for my cameras at ISO 1600-40,000 and find them very useful.)

Nice portrait of the buck, and a nice, different background.

    Dear John,

You captured such a quizzical expression from this White-tail Buck and the BG is rather unusual - I like it:)

Looking at the techs I take it light was unfavourable, I also notice a few drops of rain. Love the wet look of the subject but somehow the colour of its coat doesn't look right, I would check WB in LR. And maybe take off a bit from the top of the frame?

Really sweet pose, cannot take my eyes of this chap - good timing John. Keep them coming please!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

John the coat looks a bit too green to me,but I don't know your whitetails, just an impression. I like the framing love bkg(what's causing the colour?) agree maybe pull back it a bit. His expression is priceless
