We don't often see Coot BIF images. This one looks great to me. Perfect down-wing flight, nice angle. These are tough birds to expose correctly, getting detail in the blacks without blowing the bill/forehead. Great background. I wonder if just a touch more sharpening would help?

Beautiful flight capture, Debapratim. Excellent wing position, and lovely background. Agree with a bit more sharpening.

This is the only bird i have seen you post that i know what it is. The pose is nice and a great background. Maybe a little too bright.

Super capture, agree with all above comments and agree w John, coots in the US are darker, but this wasn't taken in the states so maybe they are lighter as shown...

I do not agree with any of the negative comments above. For me, to my eyes, this is a pretty much perfect and spectacular image. Congrats.

All around a really pretty frame. Great wing position and colors. This is one of those images that when viewed on the larger screens does not look as good as when viewed on a smaller screen. I viewed this image 3 times. Once on my phone where it looks fantastic, once on my work monitor where it looks pretty good and once on my 27" 5k imac where it does look a touch soft and grainy. So I think depending on how you are viewing this image your perception will be different. As for the colors, they are spot on. Even our coots are quite colorful when seen in nice light.

Great capture Deb and I too like the BG colors and wing position but I too find this one grainy and a hare soft. Like Isaac mentioned, it depends on what you are looking at it on. I am also on a 27 inch iMac so you can see everything really well. Great work

I am on a 21" iMAC and the bird looks tack sharp to me.
What a great frame. Not very often we see images of a coot in flight.
Background and wing position are perfect.
    No nits from me.
    Well done!

Waited years to get this kind of shot of a Coot, and the coot is quite sharp in original before posting, thank you all for your valuable comments....and have no control on grains at ISO 1600 on a body like D850 at 7:30am broad morning light(30% crop)

Great flight capture! Not one we see flying high off the water very often. BG is great. I agree with the sharpening comment, and I subtract a bit of light. Those blacks could be a bit deeper.

you can definitely get clean results from the D850 at ISO 1600. Don't fault the camera hate to say it but it is the user
