I love the snow shots. I like the lichen on the perch but wish it was a tad smaller and I wish it didn't have that cut bit. The snow on it is great though. Pose on the bird looks good, but I wish that bit of snow wasn't on the neck. It could be cloned out pretty easily if you want. TFS

Very nice John...cute bird. I really like the composition, the perch and the snow falling in the background, which adds to the overall sense of coolness. I agree regarding the little bit of snow on its neck.

Hi John, love the winter scene. Beautiful bird, nice color and detail. Background and snow wonderful. If this was a setup I would suggest a thinner perch for these small birds. Thank you for sharing.

I am a sucker for images of birds in the snow.
Very good advice from guys above.
Definitely get a slimmer, prettier perch if this was a set-up!

This is killer good and I do not hate the perch at all and I like the snow pile there. I would definitely lose the large o-o-f snowflake in front of the bird's neck and several of the other larger o-o-f flakes, especially the one on the upper right frame edge. Very sharp with perfect exposure.

Lovely image John, I have two (only slight) reservations 1) the image is a little noisy - see the darker grey areas 2) the cut off branch - disguise it with the lichens.
