    Dear John,

A well composed image of this lovely bull Elk, wonderful proud pose and eye contact. Good choice of DoF, subject stands out nicely against the BG. Nice detail too. The vegetation in the FG is slightly covering the Elk's front limbs, this adds to the image IMO.

Right now I am viewing on my laptop because of a power interruption - I think colours and tonality look good overall, maybe just check the nose and forehead for a slight blue cast.

Very nice work, John - always a pleasure to view your images, thank you so much for sharing.

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

What a handsome chap he is, lovely colours details and great DOF.
It may be worth just trying curves and placing a point on the top quarter tones and pulling down just a couple of points...WDYT?

Like it John, perhaps a sliver off the top and crop at the top of the leg, may be think about a 10x8 format?
